ORANGE CONES - PART 2

Continuing the concept of the bright orange cones in our life we turn our focus from protecting what's inside the "CONE FENCE" to extending the boundaries created by these orange cones.

If we are standing inside the "fenced" in area, we pray for protection and provision.  As we build up each area in our life with excellence through God's Word and presence, we need to move forward and extend ourselves.  We have to stretch ourselves and our influence.

Sometimes God will force us to move one "cone" further out by asking us take a step of blind faith in Him.  Sometime He'll create opportunities in our life to take another "cone" to another level - for example our prayer life.  Sometimes a passion is stirred up inside our hearts due to our life experiences or dire need we face and we are compelled to move another "cone" out a little further - ex. charity work, helping hand, etc...

Sometimes the call of God on our life is so strong to serve Him with our entire being, that He obliges us to take up our "cone" and follow Him.  And follow Him until He tells us to put the "cone" down.  Imagine how much you expanded your territory for His Kingdom.

We have to also at time, knock some cones down that the enemy has put up to limit our thinking, faith, prayer, and trust in God.  There are "cones" we need to take up and just throw them to the side and step out of the box the enemy wants to keep us in.

Step out of the box in faith and see how far God will expand you and your influence for His glory!

ORANGE CONES - PART 1

You see these orange cones out on the roads, sidewalks, driveways, used at construction sites, etc... These cones can serve numerous purposes depending on the perspective you have.  I'd like to highlight 2 ways based on what God put on my heart as a correlation to my character and life.

Imagine having to do some work in a space that you dont want anyone or anything entering so it doesnt compromise the integrity or quality of the work site and eventual result.  You can use these cones to create a quasi-fence.  This step can signal to the surroundings that there is someone or something here worth protecting.

In our lives, we have to sometimes put "cones" up to protect the integrity of our individual and family lives.  The enemy will always try to encroach into areas of our life that will compromise our quality - the product that God wants us to be.  Our personal life and our families are worth fighting for and protecting from the attacks of the enemy.  The enemy is not real life people but the powers of darkness and Satan.  We have to put these "cones" up to signal to the world and Satan that you are going to take necessary steps to protect your "work site".

Few "Cones":
1. Prayer time - individually, family, and with fellowship of believers
2. Reading time - with your Bible
3. "Check Me" friends - accountability partners
4. Worship experience - go to church
5. Committment - to Jesus Christ ... loving Him, learning about Him, living for Him
6. many more to come ...
